Building Leadership Team

The Building Leadership Team provides parents a way to participate in making school policy decisions. BLT members include the principal, teachers and support staff selected by all-school staff, a PTA representative , and three parents, plus three alternates, selected by grade level to represent all parents.

The BLT considers issues regarding curriculum, enrichment programs, and the school’s mission and strategic plan. The BLT makes recommendations for action to the principal and the PTA as necessary.

The BLT meets monthly. Only the selected representatives attend meetings. Your grade level representative will keep you informed about current issues and ask for your opinion.

You are encouraged to contact your BLT rep at any time. The idea of “parent representatives” works only if parents communicate with their representative. Please be active and let your voice be heard. Your involvement is important for the decision making process.
